Hurricane's Gustov and Ike
Initially going to Marksville, LA to setup logistics for St. Charles Parish Evacuees.  Creating a logistics program for St. Charles Parish was a pretty tall task, but in the end we were praised by Governor Bobby Jendal. Success was the only option.  Feeding some 900 meals 3 times per day for 6 days was a great accomplishment.  We consider it a great privilege to be able to serve the citizens of St. Charles parish.
 
After completing St. Charles Parish Emergency response, we immediately move to Entergy at it's Reserve, LA. Depot.  We prepared 750 meals 2 times per day for 10 days.  Cooking dinner in a tent the middle of a  hurricane while moving the site indoors 5 miles away was the highlight of the event.  Now that was fun.  A phrase has been come out of that night, "Give Us Something Hard To Do".......

Hurricane's Katrina and Rita
We are one of the chosen, Entergy Emergency First Response Teams.  During the devastation of Hurricane Katrina we were dispatched to Reserve LA at the river parish Depot.  We fed 300 people 3 times a day for approximately two weeks.  Next moving on to the Elmwood Depot, we fed 1700 people per day for approximately ten days.  Shortly after was Hurricane Rita, we were dispatched to Texarkana, TX for several days until finally moved to the heart of the damage in Beaumont, TX.  This was a huge honor as first responders.  Entergy needed it's finest on site and we were chosen.  In Beaumont, we fed initially 4,000 men 3 times a day which equates 12,000 meals per day.  This is a trailer load of food each day. Our 26 day call to duty in Beaumont, was one for the books

Doug Howland and his staff at Cajun "a-la-Carte" Catering have certainly gone the extra mile with the food preparation at Taste Louisiana Cajun & Zydeco Fest in Amana, Iowa for eight years now.  Their service is excellent and their determination to please our crowd of 15-20,000 hungry Midwesterners over three days is exemplary.  Whatever we need from the cooks to help make the event successful is cheerfully done for us.  Our food inspector always compliments the knowledge and professionalism of our caterers.  If you are looking for a caterer for an event of any size, I heartily recommend Cajun "a-la-Carte" catering
